Our Story...
Through many years of working in the marketing and advertising industry, I’ve worked closely with many graphic designers. In the past, a designer would always make the edits needed to a marketing piece on my behalf. Now that we live in a digitized world, new design tools have been developed to make this process much more manageable for an amateur designer like myself who can barely draw stick figures. Through practice, I’ve become intermediate in using the top-level graphic Adobe Suite design tools and found it very enjoyable. I still collaborate closely with graphic designers to develop and make brand changes to marketing assets, but through this experience, I realized I could create design assets myself. After going through a tough couple of months, all I wanted to wear was Christian bible verses apparel. It helped me remember that I am not alone in this Journey as Jesus says to us, “I am with you until the end of the world” - Matthew 28:20. Of course, I have my husband and son, who bring so much joy to my life, and I am so “Grateful + Blessed” to God for them. But as Saint Agustine once said, “Our hearts are restless until they rest in you, O’Lord.” We have a thirst that only God can quench. Thus, I began wearing scripture verse tees that I found at my local big merchant store. There are no Christian apparel boutiques nearby, and I didn’t see the specific style of Christian verse tee I was into online, so this is where the idea of the online boutique was born. Now, I was in control of creating beautiful and unique Christian apparel that would bring much love, joy, comfort and peace to anyone in their possession. My goal is that any Grateful + Blessed apparel you wear helps bring comfort to your soul as well as proclaim the gospel to the world and live your faith boldly.
A Few Words About Me
Jessica Galaviz Banfield is a Mexican-American gal who is a native Californian and is proud to be an Angelina. She is a proud Alumna from UC Irvine. She has over 17 years of experience in internal communications, media relations, and project management. She is a practicing Catholic and loves her faith. She is part of the lay movement Communion & Liberation. She is grateful for the community around her and their accompaniment in her life journey, which is to see Jesus in our everyday lives and ultimately help each other become saints in heaven. Her deep devotion to her faith led her on this entrepreneurial journey of helping others know and spread God’s word to the world through unique Christian clothing apparel, and gifts. She is a dedicated leader passionate about engaging, motivating, and inspiring excellence in others. When not developing a compelling narrative or driving creative production, she spends time outdoors with her husband and son.
